Illustration & Watercolour Workshop (Norfolk)

  • The White Horse Brancaster Staithe PE31 8BY (map)

Let your creative side out...

In this 2 hour intimate workshop you will learn how to create beautiful illustrations in watercolour and ink pens with Mimi Emmett. We will provide everything you need as well as materials for you to take home with you so you can keep creating. Your illustrations can then be turned into personalised stationery if you wish.

No experience necessary, just a willingness to experiment. More experienced artists also welcome and Mimi will help you finesse your style and offer advice on printing on mixed mediums (her fabrics are just gorgeous). You can either come with a mission to draw a particular thing or we will have some things to inspire you, from British game, to tropical fruits and lots in-between.

Mimi Emmett is a long-standing friend of Bumblebee Collective. We have been plotting this collaboration for a while. She is an artist with a modern and distinctive use of colour and characterful drawings. Her brand Mimi Emmett England is a stunning collection of home ware inspired by the North Norfolk Coastline, beautiful country houses, and the unmistakable flora and fauna of the British Countryside.

A selection of materials will be included as well as refreshments in the ticket price.

What should I wear/bring?

Bear in mind you will be creating work with paints and ink so we would suggest wearing something that the sleeves can roll up on, or isn't too precious.

No need to bring anything but if you have something you wish to paint and draw then you can bring that along (or a picture of it). There will be other things there to inspire you so just come with an open mind.

If you have art materials you like to use then please feel free to bring them along but everything will be provided.
